SANTA CLARITA

Just north of the Los Angeles city limits you’ll find the city of Santa Clarita, created when four unincorporated communities merged in 1987. It is the third largest city in Los Angeles County with a population over 210,000 as of 2018. With a reputation for excellent schools and for housing prices that are well below those in San Fernando or Simi Valley, Santa Clarita is also listed in the FBI’s top 20% of safest cities in America.

Known as the home to Six Flags Magic Mountain amusement park and the gated waterpark Six Flags Hurricane Harbor, Santa Clarita also has many other tourist and entertainment venues including Castaic Lake and Placerita Canyon. It is also home to the annual Cowboy Festival that draws over 10,000 visitors each year.
