Solar Purchasing and Inventory Control Assistant

Citadel Roofing and Solar is looking for a Solar Purchasing and Inventory Control Assistant to join our growing Solar Team. This position is based in Vacaville, CA and will report to the Solar Operations Manager.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Research and compare suppliers, goods and services
  • Monitor inventory levels and determining purchasing needs
  • Request cost proposals and negotiating contracts and prices
  • Mechanical/structural mounting of racking, modules and electrical equipment.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders
  • Monitor inventory levels and replenishing stock as needed
  • Coordinate the logistics of purchase orders, stock transfers, deliveries, tagging and processing
  • Forecast supply and demand requirements to ensure stock availability
  • Perform regular stock checks and reporting any issues to Supervisor
  • Compare purchase orders with invoices and packaging lists
  • Update inventory with received items
  • Other items as necessary and assigned by the manager

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of purchasing / inventory control experience
  • Must have strong work ethics
  • Must be well organized, have documentation skills and a self-starter
  • Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable
  • Excellent communication and negotiating skills
  • Proficient in Excel and Word
  • Proficient in CRM and inventory management software programs
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
