Permit Coordinator/Runner (West Sacramento)

Citadel Roofing & Solar is looking for a full-time Permit Coordinator/ Runner to join our growing solar team. This position is based in West Sacramento, CA. 

The Permit Coordinator/Runner  will deliver and pick up building permits from municipalities in addition to performing general office duties. (S)/he must have reliable transportation and the ability to submit permits online when deliveries and pick-ups are not needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Run reports to ensure that all available permits are in the appropriate status and step in the approval process using excel or CRM.
  • Compile physical or online permit packet with correct information for each city.
  • Drive personal/company vehicle to cities in assigned territories to drop off and pick up building permits to job sites. If personal vehicle is used mileage will be reimbursed at the current IRS mileage rate.
  • Communicate with city officials to obtain permit approvals via phone or online portal.
  • Communicate with internal solar departments regarding account status and approvals.
  • Scan received permits and update the account information in Sage and Excel.
  • Maintain current information on permitting requirements within assigned territories.
  • Provide general customer support as needed.
  • Perform other general clerical duties as directed by office management.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience working in a fast-paced administrative environment (solar or construction preferable).
  • Experience providing exceptional customer service to customers and PMs of new construction and retrofitted homes.
  • Strong computer skills including but not limited to web-based programs (CRM) and Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal and human relations skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Phone with GPS capability for driving purposes.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
  • Must have a current/valid drivers license and clean driving record.
