Opportunity: 

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer / Entry Level Estimator to join our growing team at Citadel Roofing and Solar. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth execution of our roofing projects, from reviewing plans and estimating
change orders to coordinating with Clients and Salespeople.  

Responsibilities:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a construction-related field.
  • Basic understanding of construction plans and specifications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
  • Experience with roofing projects.
  • Experience using on-screen takeoff software.
  • Familiarity with construction codes and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in reading construction plans for new construction residential buildings (including multi-family)
  • Experience using AutoCAD to design new construction residential (including multifamily) PV systems
  • Knowledge of solar equipment: panels, inverters, racking, batteries, etc.
  • Experience designing single phase systems (specifically 240V) and 3 phase systems (specifically 208V)
  • Experience designing PV systems with battery backup
  • Experience working with building departments and responding to plan check comments
  • Familiar with NEC and local building codes for residential buildings (both State and City/County levels)
  • Familiar with new construction design process
  • Familiar with Title 24 solar requirements
  • Familiar with different forms of interconnection (supply side and load side)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft programs and AutoCAD
