Citadel Roofing & Solar is looking for a full-time Roofing and Sheet Metal Estimator. Our team is made up of industry veterans with more than 30 years of experience, and a stellar reputation of service excellence to new construction home builders throughout Northern and Southern California.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for completing detailed and itemized material quantity estimates from owner or contractor furnished plan sets.
- Prepare quotations from architectural drawings.
- Perform clerical duties associated with keeping up filing and job folders.
- Read construction blue prints, drawings, plans and specifications and prepare estimates.
- Gather and calculate take-off data from a digital take-off program.
- Build and retain relationships with manufacturers and vendors.
- Ensure thoroughness of estimates and help with ease of construction by field operations.
- Keep and track bid schedule.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma. College degree or some college experience preferable
- Experience in estimating construction or architectural products
- Experience in reading construction drawings and specifications. Demonstrated aptitude will be considered in lieu of experience.
- Computer proficiency including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Experience with digital takeoff programs. Examples: Edge estimating software, OST, Quickbid
